Working Principle

The US-100 Ultrasonic Distance Sensor pulses at approximately 40kHz. After receiving the reflected signal from an object, the module calculates the distance based on the travel time of the sound wave.

In GPIO mode, the controller sends a trigger pulse and measures the echo pulse width.

In UART mode, distance data can be read directly through the serial interface without timing calculations.
